On the occurrence of dyscrasite in the A.B.H. Consols Mine, Barrier Ranges, N.S.W.

BEFORE entering upon the subject of this paper, it may be interesting to those who have not had an opportunity of visiting the Broken Hill silverfield to have a short description of the Consols lode and its position as regards the Broken Hill lode. The latter is too well and widely known to require any description ; in fact so many theories have been advanced concerning it as to render it somewhat difficult to make any further remarks with any claim to originality. The Consols lode is situated on the eastern side of the big lode, and has a strike -east and west ; in the shaft it has been found to underlay to the south irregularly as follows :-From here it apparently becomes vertical, when sinking operations were suspended.
