Consultants Society - Webinar: A framework for presenting and benchmarking resource projects, from exploration through to development
Investors and other stakeholders assessing the risk, opportunity and relative value associated with a resource project need to appreciate the project in its correct context; from the reporting of exploration results through to mineral resources, ore reserves and production.
Errors, lack of transparency, lack of material information, or conflicting information may result in biased reporting and misinterpretation of technical and financial results. More transparent, consistent, and balanced views of technical confidence will better inform both internal and external stakeholders about the expected risk in the project.
This webinar discusses the interdependence of resource-to-reserve conversion, the consideration of various technical-economic study types and the level of confidence conveyed to stakeholders relying on these technical reports and other company announcements.
Examples of project reporting are used to illustrate how a resource project can be presented in a framework that can be readily benchmarked against other similar projects. This then clearly identifies the key steps needed to advance the project to higher levels of certainty
