Advanced Process Control (APC) and in particular Model Predictive Control (MPC) has been a very successful technology for real time control and optimisation in the oil refining and petrochemical industries since the mid-80s. The uptake of MPC in the MMM field has been slower for various reasons but is now increasing. This webinar outlines the main elements of this data-based control technique, with case studies.
