AusIMM/IOM3 Metallurgy Webinar Series: Integrated Performance Optimisation of Mining Operations
Ore to metals optimisation combines the use of mineralogical data, geometallurgical modelling and powerful advanced process simulation tools to model the process from minerals to final payable metals.
The optimisation methodology uses detailed geometallurgical characterisation of the ore domains and concentrator plant models integrated as a digital plant to simulate the kinetic behavior of mineral particles in beneficiation processes for each ore type and plant operating scenario.
The result is optimised throughput, metal recovery and revenue. The webinar provides insight into the methodology, and a brief introduction to some of the tools available, including Metso Outotec’s SmartTag system, and the HSC software solution.
