Webinar: Emissions based maintenance - everyone wins!
Emissions based maintenance (EBM) is not a new strategy to control worker exposure to diesel emissions however it has not been widely adopted in the mining industry due to the requirement for extensive emissions testing and data interpretation. Recent research by Jen Hines (PhD Candidate- University of Wollongong) has shown that EBM can provide a means of significantly reducing worker exposure to diesel emissions AND a significant productivity gain through reduced fuel usage.
The webinar covers the following topics:
What is EBM?
Does EBM work?
How is it done?
What does a site need to do?
Tips and tricks in implementing an EBM
Major research in EBM to develop a sustainable approach to EBM at the site level
At the end of the session participants should have a good understanding as to how EBM works, the benefits’ both in terms of reduced exposure but also fuel usage.
