Evolution of Southwest WA – relationship between Geology, Flora & Fauna by Peter Lane

Geology is more than minerals, oil and gas and groundwater. From sculpting our landforms to changing ocean currents and our climate, geology has shaped an extraordinary range of environments across our planet, the rich diversity of our south-west being a product of both very old to relatively young geological processes.
This presentation will look at the relationship between geology and our flora & fauna biodiversity that makes this region, the special place it is.
This work has been compiled in various publications by Peter Lane, of which the most recent can be found on the WA Department of Biodiversity, Conservation & Attraction
