Good mental health – more than a legal duty of care to our employees
Who isn’t aware of the impact that the constant travel, isolation from family and friends, relationship and financial stresses, high risk work with long hours can have on the mental health and wellbeing of people working in the resources sector.
Following government enquiries and research, legislators are ensuring that companies have a legal obligation to ensure the psychological wellbeing of their employees. However many companies are keen to make a more significant positive difference to their employee’s safety and wellbeing. They’re aware of the economic and social benefits of having mentally healthy employees, their families and communities, but are not always sure how to go about that.
This webinar will consider what options are available to companies who want to develop and embed positive mental health practices in their existing policies and procedures and create a supportive and positive culture.
