This presentation explains what we mean by AI and ML and how data scientists are working closely with engineers – combining their knowledge bases – to make a significant impact on safety, cost and production in the resource sector. Some practical examples being applied here in WA will be provided. The presentation will conclude with some thoughts on where the industry is going.
