This webinar provides an introduction to available and emerging quantitative chemical analysis techniques (e.g. electron microprobe and laser-ablation ICP-MS) and focus on their applications in mineral processing and extractive metallurgy. The talk will cover the working principals, strength and limitations of the techniques. A comparison of the capabilities of between microanalysis techniques and conventional bulk assay techniques will discussed. Participants are expect to be able to choose the appropriate analytical techniques for their projects needs at the end of the talk.
