What makes AusIMM’s Underground Operators’ Conference important?

Underground Operators provides the opportunity for mine operators to share the successes that they are having on their site for others to learn from, and for attendees to catch up with past colleagues and make new connections.

What are the key themes being presented at the conference?

The key themes are built around the overarching theme of advances in underground mining.

The presenters are sharing their experiences in planning, scheduling, managing projects, improving productivity and overcoming unique challenges that contribute to the safety in our industry and improving our operations.

What is featured in the conference program?

The conference program addresses the industry challenges by the sharing of case studies from others, who have implemented new projects and the pitfalls that they have encountered. These solutions can then be applied by others in their own projects.  

What are you most excited to learn about at the conference?

I am most excited to learn about the experiences and challenges of implementing battery electric vehicles from the expert panel discussion, and the papers that are being presented on that topic!

What can delegates expect from the conference?

Delegates can expect numerous networking events and opportunities to connect with their peers and colleagues, whilst taking in a full trade exhibition which showcases the latest advances in technology.
