Underground Operators 2023 Committee Co-Chair, Alex Campbell, offers his thoughts and expectations around the upcoming conference, which is set to welcome over 1,000 delegates later this month.

About Underground Operators 2023

The Underground Operators Conference brings together mine operators, engineers, consultants and managers from across the globe to share knowledge and experience from various underground mines that we operate. 

The conference is the flagship event for the underground mining industry and is an oppourtunity to learn about operating practices at different mines, applications of technology, and offers delegates excellent networking oppourtunities.

Key themes

The key themes being presented at the conference include case studies from vaious underground mines, papers and presentations on drill and blast, shaft sinking, raze boring, as well as safety, geotechnical and battery electric vehicles. 

Exhibition floor

I am very much looking forward to the conference and I am most excited to meet our exhibitors and sponsors, at what will be one of the largest exhibition halls of any Underground Operators conference. 

We're expecting over 1000 delegates at the conference and I look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new people.
