For women studying STEM in Western Australia, a career in mining can offer opportunities to innovate, solve complex challenges and help shape the future of one of Australia's most important industries. 

The 2027 Epiroc Women in Mining Scholarship is designed to help make that transition from university to industry easier, providing one outstanding student with access to industry experiences, professional networks and career development opportunities that can support their future career. 

Delivered by AusIMM and Epiroc, the scholarship aims to champion the next generation of women in mining while fostering greater diversity across the resources sector.

What the scholarship offers 

The scholarship is designed to provide practical industry exposure alongside financial support, helping recipients build connections and gain first-hand insight into the mining industry.  

The successful recipient will receive: 

  • $2,000 bursary to support their studies and professional development. 
  • Opportunities to gain first-hand industry experience through an active mine site visit and Epiroc facility tour. 
  • Potential paid work experience with Epiroc. 
  • Recognition as the 2027 Epiroc Women in Mining Ambassador. 
  • Access to industry networking and professional development opportunities through AusIMM events. 
  • Complimentary registration to an AusIMM technical conference. 
  • Recognition at the AusIMM Awards.
