Congratulations to elected AusIMM Directors for 2027-29

AusIMM members have elected three Directors to serve on the Board for the 2027-2029 term.

Congratulations to: 

• Joanne Heyes FAusIMM (re-elected for a second term)
• Michelle Lawson FAusIMM (re-elected for a second term)
• Andrew Graham FAusIMM

President Chris Carr acknowledged the contribution of all candidates and congratulated the successful Directors.

"Thank you to all members who nominated for this year's election. The calibre of candidates reflects a professional community deeply committed to the future of AusIMM and our sector.

“We also thank all members who participated in the election to help shape AusIMM's future.

"Congratulations to Andrew on being elected – we look forward to the expertise and perspective he will bring to the Board.

"I am also delighted to welcome Jo and Michelle back for a second term. Their experience, leadership and contribution have been invaluable, and their re-election provides important continuity in AusIMM's governance and strategic direction."

These election results follow the recent announcement that Amy Lamb FAusIMM(CP) has been elected AusIMM President for 2027. Read more about Amy's election here.

AusIMM also acknowledges the contribution of Mark Noppe FAusIMM(CP), who will conclude his second term as a Director on 31 December 2026, following six years of dedicated service to the organisation.

"On behalf of the Board and Management Team, I thank Mark for his dedication, insightful leadership and significant contribution as a Director," said Chris Carr.

"Mark has been a strong advocate for AusIMM and our members, championing the organisation's role as the peak body for resources professionals and custodian of the professional codes and standards that underpin trust and confidence in our industry."
