AusIMM offers a series of annual scholarships and prizes to support undergraduate and post-graduate students aspiring to a career in the mining industry. 

In addition, AusIMM partners with the Victorian Government to support and profile capable women contributing to the resources sector in Victoria.

New Zealand Branch Education Endowment Trust Scholarships

The New Zealand Branch Education Endowment Trust (EET) was set up with initial funding from profits of the Auckland PACRIM Congress in 1995.

AusIMM, BHP and EIANZ Social and Environment Student Award

AusIMM, EIANZ and co-sponsor BHP offer this award to financially support students interested in a career within the environment and/or community discipline(s) of the resources industry.

Education Endowment Fund

These scholarships assist undergraduate and postgraduate students in industry relevant courses to achieve their educational goals with financial support, mentoring and field trip.

Epiroc Women in Mining Scholarship

An outstanding opportunity for an AusIMM Student member studying a mining related degree to experience Epiroc’s contribution to the resources sector in Australia and overseas, and be a voice for women in mining.

Max Eden Bursary

A bursary to financially assist a student from northern Queensland in the first year of a mining related course with their education costs.

Tarkwa Scholarships

Two scholarships on offer to support students studying mining with the University of Mines and Technology in Ghana with their education costs.
