A 2022 event attendee said,
“COVID has had such a big impact in interaction … these kind of live events open a big opportunity to have face to face conversations, and to be honest I loved it.”
Allies can champion change
Our Event Series is for all people regardless of gender, to come together and promote greater diversity and inclusion for the resources industry. The presence of allies shows a genuine interest in equity across our industry, making the future of mining safer and more accessible for all.
One attendee from our 2022 event said,
“As a male who has worked in the resources industry for over 20 years, I wanted to be present to reinforce that the journey towards equity, requires all genders to drive and champion awareness to instigate these changes.”
Strengthen your team bonds
As well as looking outward and connecting with new people, AusIMM'S International Women's Day Event Series is the perfect means by which to touch base with your colleagues, learn more about their experiences and strategise how you can increase diversity and inclusion within your own organisation or workplace.
Get started early and join the conversation with AusIMM’s Diversity and Inclusion survey, closing 12 February. In under 10 minutes you can share your experiences of working in the resources sector, and go into the draw to win a AU$500 eGift Pay card. A leading analysis of the survey results will be used to determine key actions required to improve our industry. The vital data will be presented at this year's International Women's Day Series.
